CALL FOR PROPOSALS: CATERING FOR 1014 EVENTS

July 10, 2025

1. About 1014

1014 Inc. is a not-for-profit transatlantic cultural organization based in the heart of New York City. It brings people together from both sides of the Atlantic to creatively engage with today’s global topics. Through free, interdisciplinary programs, 1014 fosters dialogue and exchange across cultures and disciplines. 1014 membership opportunities cultivate a vibrant community of Atlanticists. A board of directors with 8 current members oversees its operations.

2. Scope of Project

1014’s in-person programs include talks, exhibitions, and performances – often followed by receptions. Therefore, 1014 is searching for a catering team to work with for its receptions as well as fundraising events. 1014 requests catering teams submit proposals with quotes and examples of potential menu items for the following events/services:

a) A casual event with 50 guests

• Finger foods/small bites, all vegetarian, no drinks included)

b) An upscale event with 50 guests

• Finger foods/small bites, all vegetarian, no drinks included.

c) A three-course dinner with 30 guests

• All vegetarian, drinks included

d) Fee for 1 hour of serving and bartending

• Including passing around food and drinks

e) Fee for renting glassware per person

f) Cork fee per bottle (in the case 1014’s drinks are being used)

The selected catering team will be offered a non-exclusive, 3-year framework agreement to work with 1014 for receptions, fundraising events, and more.

Please note: 1014's event space, located at 1014 Fifth Avenue, a historic townhouse across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is currently under renovation and expected to reopen in the summer of 2027 with a new catering kitchen. Until then, all events take place at partner venues that typically lack kitchen facilities. As such, the catering team will be responsible for providing and transporting all necessary equipment and supplies before, during, and after each event.
