Located in the heart of New York City, 1014 is a new trans-Atlantic organization focused on German–U.S. relations and dedicated to exploring the global debates of today through the lens of a common history steeped in the pursuit of human rights.

This legacy, forged through deep-rooted human ties, the grit of post-war reconstruction, and a common belief in individual liberty and human dignity, is not just our past. It is the blueprint for a future where our societies remain as interconnected as the people who built them.

We invite you into our home—a beautifully renovated space across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art—to engage with global topics in technology, climate, business, democracy and society, sports, and the arts in three transformative ways.

• Public Events: We bring high-level expertise into the public square. With a range of dynamic formats—including moderated and unmoderated talks, music and dance performances, exhibitions, immersive food tastings, and film screenings— we embrace today’s most important questions and creatively rethink the status quo.
• ‍The Members’ Club: We host a curated community for individuals and corporations who share a trans-Atlantic affinity, seek inspiring connections across industries, and enjoy exclusive access to a historical space in the heart of New York City that has welcomed politicians, public intellectuals, and artists from both sides of the Atlantic for more than 100 years.
• ‍The Residency Program: Every year, we invite 12 mid-career professionals for three-month fellowships. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds, they explore emerging possibilities, engage with local partners, contribute to our public events, and meet our 1014 members and larger community.
