We are thrilled to share several major milestones accomplished in the ongoing transformation of 1014 Fifth Avenue since June 2025, each one bringing our dreams for our beloved space closer to fruition.

First and foremost, the incredible Eurostruct team has completed the new main staircase, which runs all the way from the cellar to the roof. This central spine of the building creates a seamless vertical connection through every level.

Inside the building, the structure has taken on much more definition. With all wall and ceiling framing done, each room and gathering space is taking shape. Furthermore, careful coordination with the engineering teams led to finishing the structural shoring and steel installation, reinforcing the building’s foundation.

Out back, the new rear extension has officially been topped off, rising from the second through the sixth floors. This expansion marks a major turning point in realizing our vision for 1014, offering even more flexible spaces for our community year-round.

Returning to the interconnection between floors, construction of the main elevator shaft, the accessibility lift shaft, and the dumbwaiter shaft is complete, with elevator installations scheduled throughout December. As another important step, the primary building services, such as water mains, electrical feeds, and sprinkler system connections, are fully in place. Mechanical room plumbing is underway, and sprinkler system installation is progressing throughout the building. These essential utilities move us closer to integrating the building’s full systems for sustainable communal use.

On the exterior, all masonry work has been finished, adding stability while staying true to 1014’s historic architectural character. We are also pleased to share that the state-of-the-art windows have arrived on site and are ready to be installed soon.
